It was January 21 when I posted a free tour on Facebook just to see who would show up. I ended up with about 200 people! I had two borrow a toy bullhorn and run a second tour and I still looked like I was leading a parade instead of a walking tour. My buddy Frank Roberts took photos and my daughter Chloe helped out as well. My six-month anniversary is coming up, and I’ve really enjoyed guiding lots of guests around downtown and telling them stories. There’s the Paris Girls in the Trees story, the Ol’ Slac Wouldn’t Stay Buried story, the Creole Fire Company Band story, and so many more. I’m looking forward to meeting more people and telling more stories this summer, so come on out!
