SPEAKEASY COCKTAIL PARTY

$55/adult
2 Cocktails 2 Hour Tour Must be 21 Historic

Know the Password? Welcome to the Party!

Step into our secret Speakeasy, but make sure you know the password! In 1920s Mobile, beer, wine and Liquor were illegal, but Mobile was still a wet and wild place. On this special one-time-only tour you’ll sip hand crafted cocktails and learn about Mobile during Prohibition. Hear about speakeasies where illicit booze was served, and the rum runners and moonshiners who kept the booze flowing and the party going. But Federal agents brought it all to a grinding halt with Whiskey Trials. Prohibition was an epic battle that turned neighbors against each other—forever changing the social fabric of our city. Guests will enjoy 2 hand-crafted cocktails and take home a souvenir shot glass.

  • This 2-hour tour meets at the Admiral Hotel 251 Government Street
  • Ask your hostess for the “Powder Room”—just make sure the Feds don’t catch you!
  • Why not really “get into the spirits” by dressing as Gatsby, Zelda, or a bootlegger?

  • Starts at the Admiral Hotel

My husband Dean and I went on our second Secret History tour tonight and loved it just as much as our first one! Todd does a fantastic job at bringing our city’s history to life with fascinating stories of some of the amazing individuals whose life stories contributed to our city’s rich and dynamic story.

I am a big fan of city walking tours and Mobile Secret History Tour ranks at the top. The tour is well researched and Todd gives weaves interesting stories throughout each of the stops along the way. Todd is a natural storyteller and a self-confessed bit of a 'ham". I learned several stories about my hometown that I had not known. This is a terrific tour where you will have an enjoyable time and learn something as well. Well worth the ticket price and fun!
