HIDDEN HISTORY
Mardi Gras, Black History, and a Ghost
This tour has it all—Mardi Gras, black history, and a ghost tour all in one! This walking tour gets you off the beaten path and into local culture. As an added bonus, guests can purchase and enjoy a local craft beer along the way. The tour starts at Oyster City Brewing and includes the Ghost of the Boyington Oak, Church Street Graveyard, Joe Cain's Washington Fire Hall, the Non-Partisan Voter's League, and Creole Fire Hall 1, where the Excelsior Band began. Don't miss this tour of the west end of downtown, and be sure to try one of our local restaurants while you're in the neighborhood.
